bench/tools

i realized that the decision to make my own microscopic jump rings was too hilarious not to post. just what kind of insane person am i?
for those of you that have often wondered what kind of tools i use to do my tiniest work, here it is: my hand-held jewelers saw with a #2 blade. (please note that this blade is larger than the one i typically use to do my bird/tree cut-out designs.)
and now you know just how crazy i am.

if you want to hear more, come on over to aviary gallery this saturday (december, 17th) for my first ever trunk show!

this SUNDAY!

i’ll be setting up shop this SUNDAY from 12-6pm at mass market! stop by, say hi and get those last gifts out of the way so you can kick back and treat yourself for a job well done. i’m planning on doing the very same. it’s all about multitasking this holiday season!

back by popular demand…and because i just love them so much.

for those that know me well know that i was a painter first. that’s what i went to school for, that was who i was. well, a painter that wore a lot of jewelry.
it wasn’t until 3 years after graduation that i learned metal smithing. it then made perfect sense to me. why not make what you want to create visually into a tactile object that you can wear? a dream-come-true really. i could go on and on about this life development for me and the ongoing morphing of ideas into actualized work. but we’ll save that for another day. for now i hope you just enjoy these sweet little illustrations captured in a timeless art form: painting.
